Our orthotics do not overcorrect the foot and help to keep it in a neutral position so it can support and comfort the foot without taking away the natural function of the foot.
Another common question we’re asked is “If I wear an orthotic innersole will it actually weaken my foot making it more reliant on the orthotic for everyday activity?” and this is a great question.
Orthotic innersoles are designed to limit the amount of excessive movement and limit the stress and strain on the foot but not do all the work for the foot.
It would be fantastic if we could design an orthotic to limit all of the stress and strain on your foot. The way the foot functions, it’s very, very difficult to control all the excessive movements. So if we can limit the speed and the extent to which the excessive movements happen then it stops the over used part of the excessive movement however it still keeps the feet strong and functional enough so they will be able to function without orthotics when your pain resolves.
